Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy
Since its founding in 1942, the USC Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy has been among the most respected occupational therapy programs in the United States. Ranked #1 in the country by U.S. News and World Report for eight of the past 11 years, the division is a center of excellence for clinical education, research and practice in occupational therapy. Internationally renowned for having established the first graduate program in occupational therapy and the first Ph.D. program in occupational science, the division now offers multiple degree programs and boasts one of the largest NIH research portfolios of all occupational therapy educational programs nationwide. With an extensive clinical arm, it also is translating research findings into evidence-based best practices. The division makes a unique contribution to the undergraduate learning experience as well through its minor program in occupational science.
